Kuan Yin  is the Buddha of Great Compassion and Love, who has won the hearts of countless people throughout the world. Kuan Yin's  images are either in a seated or standing posture each having its significant meanings.  Most people tend to prefer the seated Kuan Yin which gives both a serene and dignified feeling, the very picture of enlightenment.  The standing figure represents her compassion in action.  Here, Kuan Yin is depicted as sprinkling the dew of  compassion from her vase.
