WESTERN ASTROLOGY  AND  FENG SHUI

Traditional Feng Shui emphasizes the movements of Jupiter and Saturn because  these two planets (that polarize each other) have a major role in shaping the Earth's magnetic fields, which in turn alters Chi (energy) and the way it moves.

It takes about one year for Jupiter to transit over one Zodiacal sign, and two and a half years for Saturn to transit over one Zodiacal sign.  Jupiter and Saturn are regarded as important realignments in the Chi force. Especially, the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction, which occurs about every twenty years (the last one was in 2003), foreshadows major changes in the Earth's magnetosphere.  The Sun spots, solar storms, and other planetary movements also affect the magnetic fields of the Earth so  that they are in the state of continual change.

It is helpful to look at your Astrological Birth Chart to discover what areas of your life may need attention.  Where are your natal Saturn and Jupiter located?  Where are Saturn and Jupiter currently transiting in your Birth Chart?

Also, you need to pay special attention to your natal Uranus and transiting Uranus, because Uranus is the planet governing magnets and opposites, and it tends to stir things up quite a bit wherever it is transiting in your Birth Chart. Mars often marks an area of unrest and unsettled activity that will require an earth remedy to create balance.

The Yin planets are the Moon, Venus, and Neptune, and the Yang planets are the Sun, Mars, and Uranus.   The Houses that represent specific areas of  life in an astrological Birth Chart may be grouped as follows:

Money and Prosperity

House 2:  Income, earning, possessions, and personal resources.

House 4:  Real-estate holding and place of residence.

House 8:  Income through others, investments, insurances, and inheritance.

Career and Success

House 6:  Work, services, and how responsibilities are met.

House 7:  Business partnerships.

House 10:  Career, fame, recognition, and social standing.

Making money is a complex business.   In an astrological Birth Chart, the Second House represents personal property, earnings, possessions, but this sector alone does not determine the manner in which your monetary potential will be realized.  To make money, you must have a job or own a business.

The Sixth House is a house of service which determines the way you will perform on the job or in any profit-making scheme.  In addition, there is your Tenth House of social status, forming a trinity with the Second and Sixth Houses as a determining factor in your earning potential.

Planets that rule, occupy, or aspect these three houses will have a profound effect on your financial status. Good aspects and effects give greater opportunities to make money with relatively little effort.  Bad aspects and effects do not destroy opportunities; however, they demand that you overcome obstacles in order to earn a great deal.

Relationships

House 4:  Family, parents (House 10 is also a parental house).

House 5:  Children and loved ones.

House 7:  Partners and close friends.

House 11:  Friends (impersonal), those you know on a casual social basis.

Communication and Social Interchange

House 3:  Communications, day-to-day social activities.

House 5:  Activities you especially enjoy, dates, outings with children.

House 9:  Travel, education, philosophy, and religions.

House 11:  Clubs and organizations, group functions.

Health

House 1:  How you view yourself.

House 6:  Health problems (look at the Sun and Moon signs for details).

House 12:  Secrets, hidden problems, self-undoing.

It is also helpful to look at the planetary placement in terms of the astrological elements (Fire, Earth, Air, and Water) in your Birth Chart.  Feng Shui Wood and Earth are equivalent to astrological Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn),  Feng Shui Fire is equivalent to astrological Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), Feng Shui Water is equivalent to astrological Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), and Feng Shui Metal is equivalent to astrological Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius).

You may need to compensate for the missing elements in your astrological Birth Chart by making adjustments in your environment.  For example:  If your chart indicates a lack of fire element,  you need to fortify the fire representation in your environment through extra lighting or red accessories in the southern sector of your home to help attract success.

Keep in mind, Feng Shui is not magic.  It can not produce anything that is not promised in your Birth Chart.  Feng Shui can be used to boost and enhance the positives in your potential, and it can be used to minimize the negatives so they are easier to handle, and less problematical for you.

According to Feng Shui theory, a person's destiny is determined by his heaven luck (Karma, what he was born with), mankind luck (hardwork, education, and good deeds, etc.) and earth luck (environment and surroundings).  The practice of Feng shui is to improve and enhance your earth luck. If your heaven luck is good, then your hardwork combined with  good Feng Shui will make your life better and more comfortable.
